Beauty hacks from the experts

Beauty hacks from the
Statutory Note: these beauty hacks come straight from the experts - unlike any other you see on the World Wide Web.
Hair whizz Sapna Bhavnani tells you how to make your own leave-in conditioner, Stafford Braganza of Lancôme can make your lips look fuller sans needles, and MAC's Sonic Sarwate explains why you need to use hair spray on your brows.

Hair

For days when you feel like your scalp should be the official producer of oil in the country or want to know how to create your own leave-in conditioner, celebrity hair expert Sapna Bhavnani has two extremely helpful tips to try at home:
1. Use lemon to cut oil in the scalp, it's a simple, wondrous method for unwashed hair.
2. If you run out of leave-in conditioner and need it in a jiffy, mix one part normal hair conditioner to two parts water in a spray bottle; mix well and spray on frizzy hair. Voila.

Face

1. According to Lancôme India's national make-up artist, Stafford Braganza, if you're foundation shade is a bit dark for your complexion, it can still work! "Add a drop of moisturiser to your foundation to lighten it to match your skin tone," he explains.
2. MAC's global senior artist, Sonic Sarwate knows how to enhance make-up to get that perfect face structure. "Start by applying your foundation from the centre of your face, going on to the sides. Focus more on the centre so that it ends up highlighting the entire face, giving it a nice structure as well."
3. For a natural, radiant look, Sarwate suggests the use of a good moisturiser, followed by a primer before applying your foundation. Finish the look by applying a cream highlighter.

Eyes

1. Braganza tells you how to apply liquid liner on your eyes without actually owning one: "Use an angle liner brush to wipe a little mascara off the wand and gently apply it on the upper lash line as a liquid liner."
2. According to Sarwate, fuller brows are in fashion right now, "To enhance and make them look fuller, use a bit of hair spray onto a brow brush and brush them up. This instantly makes the brows look thicker and fuller."
3. Finally, use an off-white or beige pencil to open up your eyes and make them look bigger.

Lips

1. For fuller lips, "darken the corners of your upper and lower lips with a darker shade of lip liner and then apply your lipstick over it. Add gloss only to the center of your pout," says Braganza.
2. He also suggest to add a drop of peppermint oil to your lip gloss, "watch your lips plum while you take a selfie!"

Perfume

1. Dab a little petroleum jelly on your pulse points before you spray your fragrance. "This traps the fragrance in and makes it last all day," Braganza signs off.
